Why Choose Kamshet for Paragliding?

You will be greeted by experienced, fully qualified pilots on your trip to Kamshet paragliding , with keen interest in safety and, of course, taking you through the whole process. The instructors are specifically trained professionals who have flown many times over these hills, so you know you are in capable hands. For beginners, generally, a very short training session precedes your flight. They will tell you the basic ground level of paragliding and how to take off. They will prepare you for all that you will be experiencing while you are up in the air. There is no need to be a first-timer; they will make you forget all your fears and let you make the most of every moment of this experience. The best paragliding near Pune can be found at Kamshet, and no other place comes close to beheading this prize as a paragliding heaven. The weather never chases its tail, and the view is fantastic. The flights can be taken tandem because there is a pilot in the other seat who controls the glider. Then one can just relax and enjoy the ride while someone else does all the work. It is ideal for those interested in trying paragliding without having to worry about learning how to steer or control the glider. For the advanced paragliders, Kamshet is perfect in testing the mettle for longer flights and soaring higher above the Western Ghats.

Your Questions Our Answers

Who qualifies as a paragliding passenger ?

A paragliding passenger must be of a certain stature for security and comfort during the flight. It usually depends on the age, minimum 10 years old, and their weight between 40 and 90 kg. The passenger will have to be in good health, not suffer from heart attacks, asthma, or serious medical conditions; pregnant women are not allowed to engage in paragliding activities. Weather conditions also determine if one can fly. Mostly, newcomers get tandem certified pilots to accompany them for a safe yet enjoyable experience.

In Kamshet, most of the paragliding operators offer either videography as part of the package or as an add on. Many of them allow video coverage of your entire flight by equipping one’s self with either Go Pro cameras or a similar gadget, so that you can revive your exhilarating paragliding experience later. This is highly in demand for first timers and adventure lovers who would love to share their moment with their friends and family through social networks. Check ahead with the operator about the availability of videography services.

Generally, paragliding takeoff takes place from well-known launch sites such as Tower Hill and Shelar Hill in Kamshet. These takeoff sites offer breathtaking views and prime wind conditions for a thrilling paragliding experience. The Western Ghat scenery adds to the thrill of adventure making this a once-in-a-lifetime flying experience for anyone. These locations are between 15 and 22 km apart from Lonavala.

As with any adventure sport, paragliding does present some inherent risks. However, proper training, certified pilots, and adherence to safety protocols minimize the dangers. Most accidents result from human error or other unfavorable weather conditions. When flown under the guidance of experienced instructors, paragliding is generally considered a safe and exciting activity. Always seek to be safe by choosing reputable operators and following their guidelines.

The Best Time to Visit Kamshet for Paragliding

The Kamshet paragliding season is between the months of October and June, with perfect flying conditions all through the seasons. The weather is pretty clear during this period, with winds at the right speed for glide. Flying especially during sunset or sunrise is quite magical, and it feels wonderful to feel the golden glow of the sun over the hills.
